The honest catch: this is an arctic breed with a double coat built for sub-zero temperatures, and Australian summers are genuinely hard on them. They shed constantly and 'blow' their coat twice a year in a way that has to be seen to be believed, and they need serious daily exercise or they'll find their own — usually destructive — ways to burn energy. Owners in Queensland or the NT should think hard before committing.
